2 Kankakee County residents in their thirties test positive for COVID-19 on May 16

Two Kankakee County residents in their thirties tested positive for COVID-19 on May 16, according to numbers being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In total, there have been 96 positive cases reported in Kankakee County among residents in their thirties, accounting for 14.6 percent of all cases in the county. Through May 16, Kankakee County has reported a total of 657 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 31 of which have ended with the victim's death.

Illinois gathers all of their COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
