Bradley Public Library District Board of Trustees met May 20.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

President Bayer called the virtual meeting of the Board of Trustees of Bradley Public Library District to order at 6:09 P.M.

Present: Trustees Bayer, Benoit, Hendrickson, Ponton, Rodgers and Grace 

Absent: None

Also present: J. DePatis, Director

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Moved by Trustee Hendrickson, seconded by Trustee Rodgers, that MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF MAY 7, 2020 BE APPROVED AS SUBMITTED

Motion carried by unanimous vote

PUBLIC COMMENT - None TREASURER’S REPORT

Moved by Trustee Rodgers, seconded by Trustee Grace, that TREASURER’S REPORT FOR APRIL.

BE ACCEPTED AS SUBMITTED

VENDOR PAYMENTS

Moved by Trustee Bayer, seconded by Trustee Benoit that: BILLS TOTALLING $105,090.27 ALLOWED AND PAID FOR FEBRUARY

VENDOR PAYMENTS

Moved by Trustee Bayer, seconded by Trustee Rodgers that: BILLS TOTALLING $53,547.10 ALLOWED AND PAID FOR APRIL

DIRECTOR’S REPORT

No report due to the Bradley Public Library being closed.

Director DePatis stated the following:

Allison Orvis received a $1,500 Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley grant for Explore It!, which will add more open play based learning materials to our youth services department.

We had a small sprinkler pipe leak discovered on May 18. MATCO came out and fixed it on May 19.

The Summer Food Service Program of free lunches through the Northern Illinois Food Bank will run from June 1-August 14. Three staff members have finished the annual training with more scheduled to complete it next week. Curbside service will run from June 1-30. The 3 Family Mobile Pantry Markets are still scheduled for 5-7pm on June 17, July 15, and August 5.

COMMITTEE REPORTS: No Meetings

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

Re-opening the Bradley Public Library for curbside service began on May 18th.

NEW BUSINESS:

Moved by Trustee Rodgers and seconded by Trustee Ponton to set the non-resident fee card for the fiscal year 2020-2021 at $155.00 effective June 1, 2020

Motion carried by roll call vote of 6 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent

The finance committee is scheduled to meet for a budget meeting on June 29th at 4:30PM.

The personnel committee is scheduled to meet for a salary budget meeting on June 24th at 5:00PM.

President Bayer announced that the board meeting for June will be on the 24th at 6:00PM.

The 2019 tax computation report was distributed showing an expected 3% increase. First payment is expected in July. Communication:

The Emblem Club sent a donation of $100.00 as a thank you for the use of the Bradley Public Library for their monthly meetings.

Trustee Hendrickson moved for adjournment at 6:48PM.
