One Kankakee County resident 80 years of age and older tested positive for COVID-19 on July 11, according to numbers being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In total, there have been 106 positive cases reported in Kankakee County among residents 80 and older, accounting for 7.5 percent of all cases in the county. Through July 11, Kankakee County has reported a total of 1,414 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 66 of which have ended with the victim's death.
