Kankakee United held a career exploration featuring Cydney Boyd, a career development counselor at Kankakee Community College.
“While the COVID-19 pandemic has presented its challenges, Kankakee United continues to remain active by providing virtual/in-person events,” Kankakee United City Lead Linh Williams said. "One of Kankakee United’s main goals is to expand employment opportunities and ... assist participants in determining the best career paths for themselves."
The presentation took place at the Kankakee Public Library, where interested individuals learned more about career fields and which was right for them, according to a press release from the City of Kankakee.
“Kankakee United will continue to support youth leadership as they explore career opportunities and create a path for success in the workforce,” Mayor Wells-Armstrong said. "I appreciate the partnership with Kankakee Community College which serves as a valuable resource in our community."
