Republican House candidate Jackie Haas has won an election bid for District 79 defeating Democratic opponent Charlene Eads.
Hass took to her Facebook page to express gratitude to voters for the win.
“Thank you so much for your vote and overwhelming confidence in me to represent you in Springfield!,” she wrote. “I am excited and look forward to this opportunity to further advocate for the 79th district in Springfield. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped in any way to support my campaign!”
