Catalina Lauf denounces Congressman Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) after he made another move against his own party by joining with Democrats to vote for the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2021 (H.R.8). The 27-year-old is challenging Kinzinger for his seat in the House of Representatives.

"Adam Kinzinger’s vote to pass sweeping gun control measures makes it clear that he does not believe in Americans' Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. His allegiance is to Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, and the radical socialists, instead of his own constituents and the U.S Constitution. My message is: Come and take it, Adam” said Catalina Lauf, in a statement released on March 11.  

This bill, which is co-sponsored by 210 lawmakersincluding three Republicans, “establishes new background check requirements for firearm transfers between private parties (i.e., unlicensed individuals). Specifically, it prohibits a firearm transfer between private parties unless a licensed gun dealer, manufacturer, or importer first takes possession of the firearm to conduct a background check. The prohibition does not apply to certain firearm transfers, such as a gift between spouses in good faith,” according to congress.gov/bill.

Gun owners and associations have been opposing the bill.

“As a proud gun owner, and a staunch defender of our Second Amendment, I am absolutely appalled at Adam’s assault on the gun rights of law-abiding citizens, including many in his own district,” Lauf added. “Despite his claim that his only difference with the GOP is President Trump, it’s clear fake conservative Adam Kinzinger is nothing more than a rubber stamp for the radical agenda of the Left – and if we are going to reclaim our country, we must do everything in our power to expel him from office and restore the America First agenda.”
