Village of Bradley Police & Fire Commission met March 1.

COMMISSIONERS

George Golwitzer, Chairman

John Arrington, Secretary

Jaclin Hernandez, Commissioner

Chairman Golwitzer called the Regular meeting of the Bradley Fire & Police Commission to order on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.

IN ATTENDANCE:

Chairman Golwitzer, Secretary Arrington, Commissioner Hernandez and Deputy Police Chief Anderson.

REVIEW/APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

A motion was made by Commissioner Hernandez and seconded by Secretary Arrington to approve the February 1, 2021 Regular Meeting minutes and the February 1, 2021 Executive Session Meeting Minutes. Roll call (3 ayes, 0 nays). Motion carried.

PUBLIC COMMENT: None

CORRESPONDENCE/COMMUNICATION:

A background investigation request was received from the Atlanta Police Department concerning an applicant that had applied for the Bradley Police Officer position. No information could be found on the individual. A response was sent to the Atlanta Police Department and a copy was given to the Bradley Police Department to be filed for reference.

A copy of the Background Investigation for Firefighter Villagomez was received and will be added to the Fire and Police Commission records.

APPROVAL OF BILLS: None

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:

The deadline for applying for a Firefighter position is April 12, 2021. Nine applicants have applied as of today’s date.

NEW BUSINESS:

The Commissioners were updated on the conditional offer status of firefighter candidate Dan Poulos. It was reported that he took the state paramedic exam and passed. The Fire Department is waiting on receipt of his license from Silver Cross Hospital. Once this documentation has been received, he will be scheduled for the remaining required exams.

The Executive Session meeting minutes were reviewed. A motion was made by Commissioner Hernandez and seconded by Chairman Golwitzer to keep the minutes sealed. Roll call (3 ayes, 0 nays). Motion carried.

With no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Commissioner Hernandez and seconded by Secretary Arrington to adjourn the meeting.
