6:30PM Meeting Called to Order/ Pledge

Roll Call taken, all members present

*Motion to approve minutes from previous 6/21/21 meeting

Motion: Morgan 2nd: Coats Motion Carried 5-0-1 Bruni abstaining

No Public Comments

*Motion to approve Bills for Payment: <7/1/21 General Fund $12,101.60, T.I.F. $111,273.77, <6/26/21 Payroll $21,485.91 Motion: Morgan 2nd: Veldhuizen Motion Carried 6-0-0

Departmental Reports:

Clerk Dillman: no report

Streets & Alleys, Coats: John Henson has resigned as Street Commissioner, effective last Friday. Looking for a replacement. Spray road patching has been done, more to be done. Looking in to getting a chemical license for weed control

Finance, Morgan: First reading Appropriations Ordinance O-7-21-1, hearing and 2nd reading to be held next meeting 7/19/21

Gave an IDOT compliance report for past couple years MFT expenditures

Sewer & Garbage, Veldhuizen: no report, held a committee meeting, no report

Building & Grounds, Bruni: no report on internet at the park

Ordinance & Insurance, Raloff: no report

Law Enforcement, Wiedl: no report

Chief Frey: introduced two new part time officers to the force, at $18.59/hr Kenneth Strunk and Drew Morgan were sworn in to office by Clerk Dillman

Pres. Hawkins: Appointment of Treasurer, deferred. Has been speaking to a candidate

Discussion to help eye appeal to property east of Police Station

Discussion on downtown streetscape plan/ Mainstreet street signage. One 2 sided LED sign proposal by Vernon & Maz, is $31,500, details presented, no vote taken. Village entrance sign proposals given, with several choices, one to be placed and funded by Love’s Truck Stop, the other to be placed on the west entrance to town. Trustees were given info, more discussion later on.
