2A action will see No. 13 Kankakee (McNamara) (7-4) taking to the field at No. 1 Wilmington (11-0).
Kankakee is making its first quarterfinal appearance since 2008 when they beat Morris 36-21. They would fall 22-21 in the 5A semifinals to Wheaton St. Francis.
Bishop McNamara is coached by the legendary Rich Zinanni, who is retiring at the end of this, his 46th season.
