City of Momence City Council met Nov. 1.

The City Council Meeting of the City of Momence was held in the Council Chambers at 29 North Dixie Highway, Momence.

ROLL CALL

Roll was called by the Clerk with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Huddelston, Clark, Starkey, Cook, Temple and Strunk present.

APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES

Alderman Cook made motion to approve the minutes of the, October 18, 2021. Alderman Starkey seconded the motion with Aldermen Carbonaro, Clark, Starkey, Cook, Temple and Strunk voting yes. Aldermen Huddelston and Salomone passed.

APPROVAL OF THE BILLS

Alderman Salomone opened the budget and finance discussion; bills were discussed for payment. Alderman Salomone made motion to approve the bills for payment. Alderman Cook seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Huddelston, Clark, Starkey, Cook, Temple and Strunk voting yes.

CITIZENS FORUM –

OLD BUSINESS – Jake Salomone indicated that council met with Baxter/Woodman to discuss water/sewer rates. There are a few determining factors to work on – meter size for industrial/non industrial users.

ALDERMANIC REPORTS – Alderman Salomone BF meeting November 15, 7:15 P.M.

Alderman Salomone – resident reached out about temporary structures; Mayor indicated that this had been addressed.

Alderman Starkey – Public Works meeting November 15, 6:45 P.M.

Alderman Cook – planning and zoning recommendations

217 Gladiolus – zoning change – Alderman Cook made motion to approve. Alderman Strunk seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Huddelston, Clark, Starkey, Cook, Temple and Strunk voting yes.

218 W. Third – fence – Alderman Cook made motion to approve. Alderman Huddelston seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Huddelston, Clark, Starkey, Cook, Temple and Strunk voting yes.

Department Heads – Scott – water tower leak was repaired, well #5 slow down hoping to be back up/running in one week, leaves are being picked up, West Indiana is done, working on street lights now

Treasurer report – Tricia – report is finished and was filed last month

MAYORAL REPORT – requested executive session not to come out to do business. Alderman Salomone made motion to approve. Alderman Cook seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Huddelston, Clark, Starkey, Cook, Temple and Strunk voting yes.

Moved into executive session – 7:50 P.M.

8:15 PM returned from executive session

Alderman Cook made motion to adjourn. Alderman Salomone seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Huddelston, Clark, Starkey, Cook, Temple and Strunk voting yes.

Meeting adjourned at 8:15 PM
