Report: Grant Park School District spent $10,782 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Grant Park Community Unit School District 6 was up 7.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Kankakee Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Kankakee County school district spent $10,061 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,782 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 516 to 458 students over the same period.

Grant Park's spending in 2019-20 was 25.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
