Report: Donovan School District spent $11,878 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Donovan Community Unit School District 3 was up 22.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Kankakee Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Iroquois County school district spent $9,722 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,878 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 336 to 280 students over the same period.

Donovan's spending in 2019-20 was 18 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
