Report: Crescent-Iroquois School District spent $15,899 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Crescent-Iroquois Community Unit School District 249 was up 43.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Kankakee Times analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Iroquois County school district spent $11,082 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,899 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 73 to 78 students over the same period.

Crescent-Iroquois's spending in 2019-20 was 9.7 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
