The Village of Bourbonnais and Bourbonnais Grove Historical Society invite you to an afternoon log schoolhouse inauguration followed by an evening Fleur-de-Lis Celebration Dinner.
Festivities at the log schoolhouse (located at Adrien M. Richard Heritage Preserve, 698 Stratford Drive East, Bourbonnais) include:

2:30-3:00pm — Welcome by Village of Bourbonnais Assistant Administrator Laurie Cyr
National anthem and land acknowledgment

Recognition of log schoolhouse’s historic landmark status
Ceremonial reopening of the log schoolhouse (1837-48), with ribbon cutting.
3:00-4:00pm — Music and songs; tours of schoolhouse, Letourneau Home/Museum, and gardens; and free refreshments of cake, cookies and hot beverages.
5:30-9:00pm - Fleur-de-Lis Celebration Dinner at the Kankakee Country Club (2011 Cobb Blvd, Kankakee). All proceeds from the celebration dinner go to the preservation of Bourbonnais Grove’s first log schoolhouse. Celebration dinner price per person is: BGHS members--$55 and non-members $65 (price includes French-Canadian cuisine, wine, non-alcoholic drink, dessert, gratuity and entertainment).
