> Administrator Mike Van Mill stated on December 19, 2022 we received two bids for the 5000 N. Road Improvement project, which will include grading and shaping ditches, curb and gutter replacement, hot mix asphalt mill and overlay, and aggregate shoulders. The bid results were read (on Board Docs) and the recommendation is for the Board to accept the lowest bid presented by Kankakee Valley Construction for $351,109.82, which was below the Engineer's estimate.
Motion by Trustee Jack Littrell, second by Trustee Rick Fischer to award the lowest bid from Kankakee Valley Construction in the amount of $351,109.82.

Road Improvement project, same construction as above, the bid results were read (on Board Docs) and the recommendation is for the Board to accept the lowest bid presented by Kankakee Valley Construction for $352,621.94, which was below the Engineer's estimate.
Motion by Trustee Jack Littrell, second by Trustee Jeff Keast to award the lowest bid from Kankakee Valley Construction in the amount of $352,621.94.

> Trustee Keast gave a report from the Building department for the final month in 2022.
> We had 31 new home permits - down compared to last year.
> Valuations are up by $2.5M for building permits compared to last year.

> Trustee Greenlee requested Deputy Chief Dave Anderson to give an update on the application process for the initial eligibility list. Currently down one officer, another officer retiring this week, and another one in the summer. Interested candidates can fill out an application on www.applytoserve.com, testing will be occurring in the next month or two.
> Congratulations to Officer Brett Bukowski who is retiring this week, there will be an open house held this Thursday, January 5.
10. PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE - Trustee Randy King, Chair
Information: A. Public Works Committee
> Public Works Superintendent Terry Memenga gave an update at Public Works stating it was a holiday week and kind of quiet. The snow fall, winds and frigid temperatures deployed us on Thursday before Christmas, for 48-52 hours we had coverage of the event. On Saturday, once the sun came out it helped activate salt. Our plow vehicles covered 2,230 miles, 224 man hours and used approximately 150 tons of salt for this event.

> Trustee Littrell stated we will be getting with our utility companies to answer some questions and give us their plans for the upcoming year.

> Mayor Schore congratulated Mrs. Rayman on her retirement, and believes she has been the longest serving employee at the Village with 43 years. Sue's family was very involved in the Village where we dedicated Goselin Park after her brother Bob Jr. who passed in Vietnam, her father Bob Sr. lost his life working as a crossing guard for the school district and Village, and is the only fatality we are aware of as an employee.

> Reminder to residents that real Christmas trees can be dropped off in the parks (no artificial trees) and he asked that residents remove decorations.
> Monday, January 16, the office will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. day, the Regular Board meeting will be moved to Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
