Kankakee County Consolidated Election Day is four weeks away, on April 4

Kankakee County municipal officials, including mayors, village board members and school board members, are on the ballot on April 4, the first Tuesday in April.

A total of 187 candidates will compete for 78 municipal offices, including 23 contests for city and village, 17 for park, fire and library boards and 26 for school boards.

There are no voter referendums on the April 4 ballot.

In 2021, the last Kankakee County Consolidated Election, it had 70,011 registered voters and 12,580 cast ballots, or 17.97 percent.

In the 2019 Kankakee County Consolidated Election, it had 69,435 registered voters and 8,909 cast ballots, or 12.83 percent.
