Procedural: A. Members Present: Mayor Paul Schore Trustee Bruce Greenlee, Trustee Rick Fischer, Trustee Randy King, Trustee Jeff Keast, Trustee Jack Littrell, and Trustee Angie Serafini. Also in attendance, Treasurer Ron Riebe, Attorney Patrick Dunn and Administrator Michael Van Mill
3. PUBLIC HEARING
Information: A. Appropriations Ordinance 23-2394 - An Ordinance Making Appropriations For Corporate and Other Purposes of the Village of Bourbonnais, Kankakee County, Illinois For The Fiscal Year Ending April 30th, 2024
> Finance Director Tara Latz stated this is the Village's Annual Appropriations Ordinance for fiscal year 2024 which establishes the legal spending limit for the fiscal year. This includes all funds of the Village, which are the General, Motor Fuel Tax, Special Tax Allocation (2 TIF's), Business District, and Debt Service funds. The General Fund appropriation is $33,581,212, and the Special fund's combined total appropriation is $5,978,725, which makes the total Village-wide appropriation $39,559,937 for FY2024. The main reason for the increase versus the prior year is due to our municipal campus project construction costs. This Ordinance establishes a legal ceiling of spending, that the Village is authorized to do during the fiscal year and does not reflect the internally used budget document the Board passed in May 2023 when the fiscal year began.
