Village of Grant Park Board of Trustees met Aug. 21.

6:30PM Meeting called to Order / Pledge
Roll Call was taken, all members present, except Bruni and Wiedl
*Motion to approve minutes from previous 6/14/23 emergency meeting as presented
Motion: Morgan 2nd: Whorrall Motion Carried 4-0-0
*Motion to approve minutes from previous 8/07/23 meeting, with correction (Gen Fund to $34,585.04, adding payroll $140.00 omitted)
Motion: Morgan 2nd: Danahey Motion Carried 4-0-0
Public Comments: Roger Novak, 10 year Officer with Grant Park, read a prepared statement, with concerns over a recent over/under payments made with the payroll. Questioned calculations, and reviews made, and requests an audit be done to resolve the issue. The Finance chair agreed to share documents with Danahey for review, Chair Morgan will do an audit to go over the figures.
*Motion to approve Bills for Payment: <8/21/23 General Fund $9,662.69, Fest Fund $130.64, TIF Fund $9,078.64, Payroll <8/05/23 $18,013.98 Stipend <8/14/23 $2,400.00

Engineer Piggush: paving on multi-use path should be paved end of week, lighting in early September, and School pathway slated for next spring

*First reading held concerning Ordinance amending the salary and other compensation for all appointed employees and officers of the Village of Grant Park, Illinois for the fiscal year 2023/2024
*Motion to approve Resolution R-8-23-1 adopting 2023 Kankakee County Multi-Jurisdictional natural hazards mitigation plan

*Motion to approve Resolution R-8-23-2 Support for the OSLAD Grant (Hilgert Park)

Pres. Hawkins: expressed concern over a $4700.00 billing from the lawyers, over a matter that she felt could have been resolved in house, without their involvement
