Village of Bourbonnais Board of Trustees met Sept. 16.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

1. CALL TO ORDER

Meeting called to order at 5:30 PM by Village President Paul Schore

Procedural: A. Pledge of Allegiance led by Patrol Officers Priscilla Contreras and Joseph Walker

Procedural: B. Roll Call - Village Clerk Brian Simeur

Members present: Mayor Paul Schore, Trustee Bruce Greenlee, Trustee Rick Fischer, Trustee Jeff Keast,

Trustee Jack Littrell, and Trustee Angie Serafini. Also in attendance, Treasurer Ron Riebe, Attorney Patrick Dunn, and Administrator Michael Van Mill. Absent: Trustee Randy King

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Action, Minutes: A. Regular Board Meeting Minutes from September 3, 2024

Motion by Trustee Rick Fischer, second by Trustee Jeff Keast to approve the Regular Board Meeting Minutes from September 3, 2024, as presented.

Mayor Schore requested from the Board to move up Police Committee Agenda Item 9.A & 9. B in the meeting.

Motion by Trustee Rick Fischer, second by Trustee Bruce Greenlee to approve the general and special fund bill list, as presented.

Motion by Trustee Rick Fischer, second by Trustee Jeff Keast to read Ordinance 24-2466 by title only.

Action, Ordinance: A. ORDINANCE NO. 24-2468 - An Ordinance Amending Chapter 4, Alcoholic Liquors of the Municipal Code of the Village of Bourbonnais, Illinois Creating One Additional Class A License (FIRST READING)

> Following the second reading by Clerk Simeur, Attorney Patrick Dunn stated there was a new request from a new restaurant in town. This ordinance would create a Class A License for this one business. Information: B. Administration Committee

> Trustee Serafini announced upcoming events:

> Lunchtime Bites & Beats - will occur on Festival Street every Wednesday now through September from

11:00 AM to 1:00 pm, enjoy lunch from Food Trucks as well as live acoustic set from local performers.

> Free Yoga on the Green - local yoga studio Limber Mind and Body Wellness will have free yoga with Jen this Thursday, September 19, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM.

8. COMMUNITY & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE - Trustee Jeff Keast, Chair

Action, Ordinance: A. ORDINANCE NO. 24-2464 - An Ordinance Disconnecting Certain Property Owned by Martin Rentals CJM, LLC from the Village of Bourbonnais (SECOND READING)

Motion by Trustee Jeff Keast, second by Trustee Jack Littrell to read Ordinance 24-2464 by title only.

> Following the second reading by Clerk Simeur, Attorney Patrick Dunn spoke about disconnecting property on East 1000 Rd after it was requested by the owners of the property and it is apart of the Boundary Agreement with the Village of Manteno.

> Mayor Schore announced the Splash Pad will be closing on Sunday September 22, 2024, it will open back up on Memorial Day weekend in 2025.

Procedural: A. Public Comments

> A village resident spoke on having a traffic light adjusted on Route 45 near Village Meadows along with any new developments regarding the Cigna building. Mayor Shore explained IDOT handles traffic lights on state highways and explained the process of rezoning of a property.

> A village resident asked about the process of rezoning of a property. Mayor Shore, Mr. Van Mill, and Trustee Serafini explained the process of rezoning property in the village.

> A village resident on Independence has issue with garbage bins next to her house and being picked up before the time in the village code and where the residents living in the apartments are parking.
