Finance, Morgan: First draft of Audit has been received, being reviewed. Next Finance meeting Jan 21st, 5:30PM at Community Center
Community Outreach, Detloff: A Thank You to the Grant Park Foundation, Grant Park Fire, and Mr. Pahl for bringing Santa to the Community Tree Lighting, also Skyler Hendricks and Herbert the Highlander cow, for making the evening a success. Thanked Scott Dillman for the lighting work in the Community Center, Held a Surf Internet Groundbreaking ceremony December 5th, Next Fest meeting Dec. 18th 6PM Village Hall, Christmas Day Dinner Dec. 25th 11-1PM. Call for reservations, please.
Building & Grounds, Bruni: no report
Law Enforcement, Whorrall: no report, absent
Pres. Hawkins: Brief discussion held over replacing carpet in Village Hall where past leaks have been, IDOT meeting held, 64 attended. A Roundabout was the lead proposal to resolve the issue, but could be a few years before it is built. Met the editor of The Vedette, a newspaper in the Peotone area, trying to lure them to cover Grant Park. The Dispensary may open after the first of the year. Went to the GPHS and spoke, along with Mr. Detloff at the Civics class. It is Girl Scout season, offering to buy a box of cookies from the first 5 girls that watched the meeting on You Tube. Planning a dinner for Board members soon
