Robin Kelly, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Illinois’ 2nd district, shared a series of tweets covering various topics. She addressed issues ranging from tax filing to gun violence, and also extended greetings for the Lunar New Year.

On January 28, 2025, Robin Kelly announced an initiative aimed at reducing costs for Americans by offering a program that allows eligible individuals to file their taxes online for free with the IRS. She encouraged people to take advantage of this opportunity early in the tax season. "In an effort to lower costs for hard-working Americans, we have created a program that allows eligible individuals to file their taxes online for free with the IRS. Get a head start this tax season without having to worry about extra steps and fees!"

The following day, on January 29, she expressed her well-wishes for those celebrating the Lunar New Year. Her message conveyed hopes for abundance, health, and prosperity in the coming year. "Happy Lunar New Year! Wishing all who celebrate a year of great abundance, health, and prosperity."

Later on January 29, Kelly commemorated Hadiya Pendleton's death anniversary by highlighting her ongoing commitment to fighting gun violence. She recalled honoring Hadiya's memory alongside her parents and reiterated her dedication to advocating for gun safety measures despite opposition. "12 years ago today, a stray bullet tragically took the life of Hadiya Pendleton. I honored Hadiya's memory last year alongside her parents and continue to do so today. The gun violence epidemic must end. I will always fight for gun safety measures, regardless of opposition."
