Village of Grant Park Board of Trustees met Jan. 6.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

6:30pm Meeting called to Order / Pledge

Roll Call was taken, all present except Ms. Bruni and Ms. Whorrall

*Motion to approve minutes from previous 12/16/24 with correction of wording in IDOT report, changing turnabout to roundabout

Motion: Morgan 2nd: Detloff

Motion Carried 3-0-1 Wiedl abstaining

Public Comments: The Board, and audience listened to an appx 10minute Zoom presentation by Josh Anderson from Text My Gov. The presentation centered around giving text alerts to the Village residents, such as weather alerts, main breaks, road closures, at a start up cost of $3500, $2000 annually after. The Board took under advisement.

*Motion to approve Bills for Payment: <1/03/25 General Fund $13,412.54 Fest Account $890.24, American Rescue SLFRF $131,688.61, TIF $104,476.73, Payroll <12/07/24 $1,500, <12/21/24 $16,776.04 Motion: Morgan 2nd: Wiedl Motion Carried 4-0-0

Departmental Reports:

Clerk Dillman: Appropriations and Levy reports were hand delivered to County Clerk's office. Economic Interest Statement renewal forms were sent to the County Clerk office.

Clerk Dillman swore in part time Police Officer Todd Huntley at a pay rate of $24.17/hr

Ordinance & Insurance, Wiedl:

*Motion to authorize Resolution R-1-25-1 NPPFA Deferred Compensation Plan

Motion: Wiedl

2nd: Detloff Motion Carried 4-0-0

Finance, Morgan: no report Committee meeting 5:30PM Jan 21

Community Outreach, Detloff: Cabin Fever Reliever Feb. 1 at Community Center

*Motion to approve CFR expenses not to exceed $4455 total

Motion: Detloff 2nd: Morgan Motion Carried 4-0-0

Building & Grounds, Bruni: absent Mr. Detloff read a motion:

*Motion to approve Engineers proposal for Hilgert Park Improvements as presented, subject to Possible changes and final approval prior to any bid publication.

Motion: Detloff 2nd: Morgan Motion Carried 4-0-0

Law Enforcement, Whorrall: absent

Chief Frey: reported 1259 Police calls for 2024, and gave a breakdown of types of calls

No Executive session held
