John James Ciaccio | Clancy Gernon Funeral Homes - Bourbonnais

John James Ciaccio, 92, of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025. Born on March 16, 1933, in Kankakee, Illinois, he served in the United States Army before working as a senior tool and dye engineer at Roper Corporation, a General Electric division in Kankakee and later in Lafayette, Georgia, retiring in 2001. John and his wife, Jimmie Mae Ciaccio, relocated to Cookeville in 2001 and became members of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. An avid fisherman, John cherished his time by the water.

Predeceased by his parents, son Jerry Ciaccio, sister Sister Josephine, and brothers Anthony, Sam, Leo, and Joseph Jr., and Dominic Ciaccio, John is survived by his wife Jimmie Mae; children Siena Kolb, Thomas Ciaccio, and Patricia Langevin; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Francis Ciaccio and sisters-in-law Barbara Ciaccio and Sandy Ciaccio. He is also survived by stepchildren Sherry Gabelman, Parker Boles, and Randy Boles.

A memorial visitation and service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Inurnment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kankakee. Memorials may be made to St. Rose Chapel in honor of John.
