Jamie Lynn Spiese, born to Mike and Linda Peters in Kankakee on November 24, 1971, passed away. She was married to George Spiese on April 11, 1992, sharing 33 years of love and companionship. Jamie adored her role as a stay-at-home mother to her four children, Isabelle, Cooper, Lily, and Rudy. When not caring for her children, she worked as a teachers aid for Kankakee School District. Jamie was particularly close with her grandparents, Chuck and Donna Vaughn, and her dogs Oliver, Henry, and Joseph held a special place in her heart. Membership at Immanuel Baptist Church of Kankakee and College Church of the Nazarene in Bourbonnais reflected her strong faith and community ties. Known for her love of reading, gardening, and photography, Jamie cherished conversations with her best friends. She is survived by her husband George, parents Mike and Linda, brother Matt, children Isabelle, Cooper, Lily, and Rudy, grandchildren David, Sunny, Henry, Milo, and Shelby, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. In honoring her wishes, there will be no wake or funeral; instead, a celebration of life party will be held in her honor during her favorite season, fall. Arrangements have been entrusted to Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home in Kankakee. Sympathy can be expressed through our Sympathy Store.
