Rosemarie C. Whittiemore | Clancy Gernon Funeral Homes - Bourbonnais

Rosemarie C. Whittiemore, 80, formerly of Bradley, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Riverside Hospital in Kankakee, IL, after a sudden illness. Born on May 25, 1945, in Chicago, IL, to parents Joseph and Rose Cammiso.

Rosemarie was a retired United Auto Worker who found joy in watching her grandchildren, Hannah and Will, and great-grandson, Callan, grow. She had a passion for animals, obedience training Doberman Pinschers, raising Arabian horses, and caring for various pets. Rose also pursued art, gardening, swimming at the Kankakee YMCA, walking her dogs at Perry Farm, and fishing.

Survived by her daughter Dawn (Clyde) Dayhoff, granddaughter Hannah (Connor) Maloney, grandson Clyde “Will” Dayhoff III (Hannah Pepin), great grandson Callan Maloney, siblings Louis Cammiso, Sharon (Walter) Bieniek, Mary Gloede, Joseph (Kathleen) Cammiso, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, youngest daughter Kimberly McGowen-Coughlin, former husband Winston Whittiemore, brother-in-law Gustave Gloede, sister-in-law Catherine Cammiso, and nephew Joseph Cammiso.

Visitation on Saturday, August 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a service at Clancy Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Private burial on Monday, August 25, at Calvary Cemetery in Steger, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kankakee Area YMCA, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley, or Uplifted Care.
