The Manteno Village board held its regular meeting Nov. 2.
The village approved a resolution to prepare a rate for this year's tax levy. Village officials said they expect a $1.6 million levy, which is less than 1 percent higher than 2014. Board members also said they will hold a public hearing on the issue Monday.
In committee reports, Trustee Diane Dole announced there will be no Senior Safety meeting in December.
At the close of the meeting, Trustees Boyce, Dole and Martin congratulated the Manteno Panthers football team who won this year's Interstate 8 championship.
