The Kankakee County Board will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the boardroom on the fourth floor of the county building.
The board will hear department reports and is expected to approve a bid for highway improvements.
The board also will vote on nominating Limestone Cemetery as a historic landmark. The cemetery was started by one of Kankakee County's original settlers. If the board approves the designation, it would be the county's third historic landmark, along with the Kankakee County Courthouse and the Durham-Perry settlement at Perry Farm.
The Planning and Zoning Committee will review a grant application from Momence Packing.
Before adjourning, the board will advertise two vacant positions, one on the Historic Preservation Commission and one on the board of the Kankakee County Convention & Visitors Bureau.
