The Manteno Plan Commission will hold a public hearing and vote Tuesday on a local couple's application for a building permit to expand their garage.
Joseph and Kimberly Prno have requested a variance from the village's Maximum Lot Coverage ordinance to build a 348-square-foot addition to their garage at 211 N. Maple St. The ordinance limits accessory development to 10 percent of the property's square footage. The Prno's new addition would raise their accessory square footage 377 above the maximum requirement.
The meeting will start with a public hearing on the issue and then be followed by the commission's vote.
The addition is the only item on the agenda.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Village Board Room at Manteno Village Hall, 98 E. 3rd St.
