The Momence City Council passed a resolution Monday to request a construction permit from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for a new entrance for Casey's on IL Route 1.
Since Casey's entrance would open onto a state road, the town is required to obtain the state's permission.
As part of the request, the city agrees to have the work performed according to code, to hire a bonded and insured contractor to do the work and to not be held responsible for damages to people or property during the work.
