Van Mill shadows public works during snowstorm

Snowplow

New Bourbonnais Village Administrator Michael Van Mill volunteered for on-the-job training during a recent winter weather event.

Reporting to the village board Jan. 4, Van Mill said he rode along with Public Works Director Mike Chamness to get a better idea of the department's activities during ice and snow.

Later in the meeting, trustees noted that $17,500,000 worth of building permits were issued in 2015, including permits for 32 new single family homes.

The board also expressed their condolences for the family of Kankakee County Convention and Visitors Bureau President Larry Williams, who recently passed away.

The meeting was adjourned after 10 minutes.
