The Kankakee County Board hopes to have remedied the confusion over the newly created Kankakee Precinct No. 3 polling district with amendments filed Jan. 12.
The new precinct was created last June by a resolution that consolidated Kankakee Precinct No. 9 and Kankakee Precinct No. 3 into a single precinct. County officials have since found that the resolution failed to stipulate the new precinct's boundaries and polling places, forcing the board to file a clarifying amendment.
Beginning with the general primary elections on March 16, all Kankakee Precinct No. 3 voters will vote at the Westbrook Church of the Nazarene at 900 W. Jeffery St. in Kankakee.
