Gardant Management Solutions recently announced that CEO Rod Burkett will join the National Center for Assisted Living's (NCAL) board of directors.
Under Burkett's leadership, Gardant manages more than 40 assisted living, memory care and senior housing sites in Illinois, making them the largest assisted-living provider in the state.
NCAL is the advocacy wing of the American Health Care Association on assisted-living issues.
“I am looking forward to serving and bringing my experiences and strengths in the industry to this board,” Burkett said.
Burkett has lead Gardant since 1999, when it was known as BMA Management. He has served on several state boards as well as the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition.
Burkett will bring his passion for accessibility and affordability to his new post with NCAL, which will also include improving connections between assisted-living facilities and health care providers, assessing new data and evaluating outcome initiatives.
“We are pleased to have Rod bring his expertise and experience from the Midwest in service to the entire assisted living profession,” NCAL Chair Chris Mason said. “He has made an imprint in Illinois by providing vulnerable seniors high-quality assisted living care. Rod’s wisdom and passion will be a valuable addition at the national level.”
