Kankakee Community College announced on April 9 that it has appointed Abby Fischer as its new student trustee for 2016-17.
In her new position, Fischer will be updating KCC board of trustees about student activities, comments and concerns.
Kankakee Community College was founded in 1966. The college held its first classes September of 1968.
Serving a population of about 150,000, Kankakee Community College is a two-year institution, accredited by the Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges.
