Daily Journal’s Senior Citizen Service Provider of the Year has been awarded to Kankakee Community College's (KCC) Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI).
The institute takes a unique path to learning, offering affordable, highly regarded, noncredit classes for seniors on a variety of topics. The classes are designed to foster strong student participation. Some classes will meet for one day on a particular subject, while other courses dig deeper into a topic over several meetings.
KCC's Office of Corporate and Continuing Education manages the program.
Linda Klette, president of the LLI Advisory Committee, and Mary Posing, director of corporate and continuing education, accepted the award for the institute.
