Registration is underway for adult coed volleyball and youth coed basketball leagues at the Kankakee Area YMCA, according to the program guide on k3ymca.org.
The registration deadline for the adult coed volleyball league is Jan. 8, with an organizational meeting planned for Jan. 10 and the games starting Jan. 17. The league, which is for players 18 and older, plays for seven weeks, with games on Tuesdays. A tournament will wrap up the season.
The fee for each team is $200.
The winter youth coed basketball league will start its practices the week of Jan. 9. The league is for kids ages 5-14 and lasts seven weeks starting the week of Jan. 16. Each team will have one practice per week. Games will be played Friday nights or Saturday mornings.
Fees are $35 for members and $70 for prospective members.
The YMCA is at 1075 N. Kennedy Drive in Kankakee.
