Notice is hereby given by the Board of Education of School District No. 1, Kankakee, County, Illinois,
that a Public Hearing will take place on Monday, October 24, 2016, 6:30 PM, 400 North Pine, Momence,
Illinois, 60954
The purpose of this Hearing is for the Board of Education to determine the need to undertake repairs
to the pavement of playgrounds, school bus turnarounds, student drop-off areas, sidewalks and parking
areas at: Momence High School, 101 North Franklin and to receive any public comment regarding such
repairs.

A. The appointment employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or
legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for
the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2©(1).

concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2).
D. Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular District has been filed and is pending before a court or
administrative tribunal, or when the District finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding
shall be recorded and entered into the closed meeting minutes. 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(11).
