Bradley ranked 553th in state in lottery ticket sales for April 2016

The Village of Bradley had the 553th highest lottery ticket net sales statewide per capita for the month of April 2016 -- down 56 spots from its March ranking.

The per capita lottery ticket sales in Bradley was $14.57 per person.

Based on monthly sales records obtained by the Kankakee Times, Bradley generated $227,608.50 in net sales from its 10 lottery retailers in April 2016, compared to $270,346 in April 2015.

The Village of Bradley is in Kankakee County, and has a population of 15,617, according to 2010 census data. Neighboring municipalities are Bourbonnais and Kankakee.

Average sales for municipalities in the region in April 2016 was $20,117.32.

Bradley's top lottery retailer is Circle K #1391 located at 280 Kennedy Dr, Bradley, IL 60915.

Circle K #1391 generated 18 percent of Bradley's April 2016 lottery ticket sales and 3 percent of Kankakee County's sales that month, which was $1,709,973.

A close look at sales by city shows that the top five cities with the highest lottery revenue per capita in Kankakee County in 2015 were Aroma Park, Saint Anne, Momence, Herscher and Grant Park.

Statewide, the top five cities with the highest lottery revenue per capita were Forest View, Burnt Prairie, McCook, Mapleton and Merrionette Park.

The top five cities in the state generated $5,496,719 in net sales -- 1 percent of the state's 2015 net sales amounting to $2,793,271,709.50.
