Kankakee Valley Park District Board of Commissioners met March 29.

Here is the minutes as provided by the Board:

The Special Meeting was called to order at 7:08 pm by Commissioner Mullady. Those present for roll call were Commissioner D.Tucker,and M.Mullady. Those absent were Commissioner A.Hollis,D.Skelly and L.Cooper. Staff present: Director Heitz, Superintendent of Building& Grounds Collins,Superintendent of Recreation Woodard, Attorney Coghlan. Others present: John Dykstra, Laura McElry,and Ron Jackson.

COMMUNICATIONS

Splash Valley Round Table

This was meeting 2 of the round table. Director Heitz presented a power point presentation on

Splash Valley. She had pictures of the cracks in the lazy river. Currently had 1200 responses to

the online survey. Laura McElry asked what the time line is and what the next step is? Director

Heitz said there will be a walk through with the architects and start the conceptual design.She

asked once we have the design, then can go for funding?Yes. Attorney Coghlan said we have

had some interest in donors but need to get plans for them to realize the idea and magnitude.

A motion to adjourn the meeting was made at 7:25 pm by Commissioner Mullady, seconded by

Commissioner Tucker. Upon voice vote, all ayes,motion carried.
