Here is the minutes provided by the Council:

The City Council Meeting of the City of Momence was held in the Council Chambers at 29 N. Dixie Highway, Momence. Mayor Chuck Steele called the meeting to order.

Roll Call:

Roll was called by the Clerk with Aldermen Salomone, Navratil, Nova Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope present. Also present was Mayor Chuck Steele.

Ratify Appoint of City Treasurer and Clerk

Alderman Rehmer made motion to accept appointments and Alderman Cook seconded. Alderman Salomone, Navratil, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.

Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes

Alderman Navratil made motion to approve minutes, Alderman Cook seconded. Alderman Salomone, Navratil, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.

Approval of the Bills

Alderman Salomone made motion to approve bills, Alderman Metz seconded. Alderman Salamone, Navratil, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.

Aldermanic Report

Nova Metz – discuss waiving sewer charges for pools no ordinance set at this time. Look into ordinance. House on ash Street has been fixed.

Rehmer – chief introducing Matt Sample part time patrolman. Changes with Centrue sign at Washington and Pine, due to new bank wanting to be in compliance

Cope – 45 N. Elm purchased on foreclosure. Neighbors complaining, asking about code enforcement. Training on a code enforcement officer is necessary. Setting of a Local Improvement meeting on June 19th 6:45 p.m.

Department heads

Henson – training for software invoice. 1700.00 for treasurer to be trained. Alderman Cook made a motion, Alderman Salomone to second. Alderman Salamone, Navratil, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope all voting yes.

Discuss and vote on server for city hall – all on one computer, Duratech 3337.50 for a separate server for protection, server to be onsite.

Alderman Cook made motion, Alderman Metz seconded. Alderman Salomone, Navratil, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope all voting yes.

Discuss appropriation ordinance and budget

Discuss credit card usage and receipts need copies for all purchases for audit purposes. Most gas is used for city vehicles, credit cards stay in the vehicles. Pd has 8, sewer has 2, street and alley has 2.

Mayoral Steele asked for a motion to enter into Executive session at 8:04 Alderman Cook made motion, Alderman Metz seconded. Alderman Salomone, Navratil, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope all voting yes.

Executive Session entered 8:07 p.m.
