The Kankakee County Museum wants area residents to join it in a walk through history on Aug. 27, according to the museum's Facebook Page.

The museum's "Voices from the Past," presented in conjunction with the Kankakee Valley Theatre Association, is a walk through Mound Grove Cemetery, during which attendees will learn about the people who helped shape the county and community.

Tickets may be purchased by Kankakee County Museum at (815) 932-5279. Anyone over age 12 will pay $10; those 12 and under will pay $5. For museum members, adult tickets are $8, and children can attend for free. Tickets will also be available on the day of the event.

The walk will take place twice, at 11 a.m. and again at 2 p.m., beginning at the Fair Street entrance.

"Voices from the Past" is sponsored by Schreffler Funeral Home and Art’s Landscaping & Irrigation.
