Village of Bourbonnais Finance Committee met March 15.
Here is the minutes provided by the Committee:
1. Roll Call:
Village President Paul Schore, Trustee Amiano, Trustee Greenlee, Trustee Keast, Trustee Littrell, Trustee Fischer, Village Treasurer Riebe, Village Administrator Van Mill, Finance Director Wolf, Police Chief Jim Phelps, and Village Attorney Pat Dunn are all present. Absent is Trustee King.
2. Review and approve Committee minutes:
A motion was made by Trustee Keast and seconded by Trustee Littrell to approve the committee minutes from March 1, 2017.
3. Bills:
i. General funds bills reviewed: Committee approved.
ii. Special fund bills reviewed: Committee approved.
4. Other:
o Report on draft revenue budget for FY 18-20 - Committee received a copy of the General Fund Revenue projections for the next 3 years for review. Discussion will come after review.
o Timetable for Budget approval - Committee was informed that staff is targeting the April 17 Board meeting for a resolution to set the FY 18 budget.
o Information on Department Head and non-union employee compensation - Committee was given information from last year and a spreadsheet with current department heads and non-union employees that need to be considered. Finance Director will research surveys for additional information.
o Report on FY 18 Sidewalk program - Administrator Van Mill reported the need to better present the sidewalk program in the coming year. Mayor Schore was concerned about monies invested in the program if it is more successful than projected.

A motion was made by Trustee Keast and seconded by Trustee Littrell to adjourn the Finance Committee meeting. Motion passed on a voice vote of 5-0 and the meeting adjourned at 4:37 p.m.
