Public Comments- None
Recognition of Illinois State Scholars-Mrs. Kolitwenzew presented the board with the Illinois State Scholars. Illinois State Scholars are chosen from their GPA, State testing and have to be in the top 10% of the students in the State of Illinois. Both Timothy and Elizabeth are going to college to be teacher's. The board thanks the students for their hard work and congratulated them on this top honor.
Board Communications- Mr. Stegall shared with the board some thank-you's from staff members for the holiday bonus. He updated the board on the recent Capital Watch report that he has received regarding clarification on the Evidence Based Funding calculations and a Senate Bill 444. He also informed the board about a FOIA request that a lot of districts in the area have received. Upon legal advice, Mr. Stegall is not providing the request for personal information on staff as it appears to be a phishing scam.
Committee Reports- None
Administrator's Report
Mid- Year State of the School Report- Mr. Stegall presented a powerpoint presentation on the Mid-Year state of the school, highlighting the accomplishments of the district so far this year.
Mr. Stegall asked the board to approve the Press Plus Issue #96 and policy #5:330. He stated that he is pulling three policies from the packet, as he is waiting for a response from the district attorney. Mrs. Nicholson asked about the process the district uses to communicate changed policies with the building administrator's. Mr. Stegall responded that they discuss policy changes at administrative meetings.
Motion: Approve final reading of Press-Plus Issue #96 (with the removal of 4:15, 5:240, 5:290) and Policy #5:330.

Mr. Stegall stated that he provided the board members with the estimates for baseball, softball and soccer scoreboards that he is asking the board to approve. The total cost for the scoreboards is $16,000.00. The estimates do not include the installation. The board questioned the fact that the budget does not include the purchase of scoreboards. Mr. Stegall stated that he will be amending the budget to add the purchase. Ms. Nicholson stated she didn't want the district to get into the practice of large purchases outside of an approved budget.
Motion: to approve the score board purchases for Softball, Baseball and Soccer as presented.
