Momence City Council met April 2.

The City Council Meeting of the City of Momence was held in the Council Chambers at 29 N. Dixie Highway, Momence. Mayor Chuck Steele called the meeting to order.
ROLL CALL
Roll was called by the Clerk with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope present.
APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MEETING MINUTES
Alderman Cook made a motion to approve the minutes of the March 19, 2018 council meeting. Alderman Rehmer seconded the motion with Aldermen Carbonaro, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes. Alderman Salomone and Metz passed.
APPROVAL OF THE BILLS
The bills were discussed at tonight's Budget and Finance Committee Meeting. Alderman Salomone made a motion to approve the bills for payment with the addition of Verizon $296.00,
AT&T $70.42, Wex Bank $132.07 and Test America $294.00. Alderman Cook seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.
CITZEN FORUM
1. Ann Cobb – Momence Park District, Community Arbor Day was able to get trees donated in the amount of 16. Asking for citizens to donate time to work, City Council to donate time of digging. Park District does not have the equipment or the man power to make this happen. Park District has lost may trees, trees will be replacing lost trees. April 28th would be the day of planting, looking for holes to be dug prior to that date. Alderman Metz made motion to approve City of Momence to dig holes for the Arbor Day Celebration. Alderman Temple seconded the motion with Alderman Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.
ALDERMANIC REPORTS
1. Alderman Salomone Budget and Finance meeting April 16, 7:15PM
2. Alderman Metz inquired about the balancing of the water bills.
3. Alderman Cope indicated that businesses are complaining about customer
parking on the South side of Washington. Asking about timed parking signs
DEPARTMENT HEADS
Scott Behrends stated that leaf truck has made the first round of clean up.
Treasurer Report – 6 CDs have been transferred to Municipal, rate of $1.05. The updated report will be ready for the next meeting. MFP audit on April 16.
MAYORAL REPORT
1. Proclamation – April is Child Abuse Prevention Month
Mayor requested a motion to move into executive session to discuss setting the price of the property.
Alderman Metz made motion to move into executive session, Alderman Salomone seconded the motion with
Aldermen Cope, Temple, Cook, Rehmer, Clark, Metz, Carbonaro and Salomone voting yes.
Exited regular session 7:52 P.M.
Entered back into regular session 8:10 P.M.
Alderman Cook made a motion to adjourn, Alderman Salomone seconded the motion with Aldermen Salomone, Carbonaro, Metz, Clark, Rehmer, Cook, Temple and Cope voting yes.
