The meeting was called to order by President Timothy O. Nugent. Roll call followed the Pledge of Allegiance, led by President Nugent.
Motion by Phillips, seconded by Dole, to waive the reading of the minutes and approve the Regular Board Meeting minutes of June 17, 2019 as presented by the clerk.
Motion approved: 4-0 Gesky Abstained Crockett absent

Reports of Village Officials:
Village President’s Report: Timothy Nugent
• The Village approved a budgeted $8000.00 donation to the Manteno Sportsman Club to help with the costs of the firework display.
• Mayor Nugent read a letter of thanks from the Manteno School district for the support during the 2018-2019 school year, especially Officer Tolbert as the school resource officer.
• Nicole Cartier, President of the Kankakee Triathlon Club, addressed the Board about the upcoming Triathlon that will be held in Manteno. This is the third year for the Triathlon and it will benefit the Manteno Veterans Home. It will be held on Saturday July 27th. They are looking for volunteers to help. For more information, please go the Manteno Triathlon website and you can sign up as a volunteer.
• Eric Petersen, a local veteran who lives in Manteno, addressed the Board on the August 10th event “Heroes, Hogs and Hot Rod’s” that will be held downtown Manteno. Included will be a BBQ competition, car show and strongman competition. Time will be from noon until 11:00 pm on Saturday August 10, 2019.

Public Works and Utilities: Trustee Boyce
• Jim Hanley gave an update to on the recent storm damage. He will have two trucks out for picking up limbs/branches from the storm. The Village of Bradley let us borrow their chipper so we can have two routes going, a north route and a south route. The Public Works department will be working through the week and will get to everyone eventually.
