Village of Cliffton Water and Sewer Committee met Oct. 8.
Here is the minutes provided by the committee:
Call to Order: 5:00 p.m.
Roll Call: Randy Gigl, Chris Sifrit, Tracy Mitchell, Tim Kent, Jim Earlywine
Approval of Minutes: Chris approved, Tracy seconded
Old Business: Randy and Tim gave a brief update on the Lincoln berm. The berm has been seeded down and is complete with no further changes. Tim discussed the completion of work done at the sewer plant on the pumps and filters. Jim Earlywine in at 5:09pm.
Discussions: Tracy moved to spend no more than $1800 for a chlorine gas detector, Chris second. Randy explained that the detector is the last item on the IEPA list of necessary improvements. Chris moved to spend no more than $900 for a new water meter on pump #4, Tracy second. Tim discussed information about the meter. Chris asked Jim for an update on the sewer plant bug treatments and wanted Jim to explain to the committee the reasons the many treatments haven't been more effective. Jim explained the current status on the sewer plant beds and said further tests would be run. Tracy left at 5:20pm.
New Business: Tim is looking to see how many RPZ devices are in the village.
