Roll Call was taken, all members present
*Motion to approve minutes from previous 1/06/20 meeting
Motion: Morgan 2nd: Wiedl Motion Carried 4-0-2 Dickson, Veldhuizen abstaining Public Comments:
Jude Whipple: absent
Julia Gore Spoke of concern on not being informed earlier of the truck stop development Christine Wick: Concerned the Zoning Board was ill-informed for the meeting, and the development
Lynn Gibris: 100% in favor of the truck stop, states many others were too, but afraid to speak openly
Dennis Marts: In favor of the development, spoke of past businesses that have left, we need this

Streets & Alleys, Veldhuizen: Gravel to be delivered soon, for 9000N Rd. edge placement *Motion to approve Resolution R-1-20-1 for improvement under the Illinois Highway Code, multi-use path along 1-17 including 1/21/20 engineering
Motion: Veldhuizen 2nd: Morgan Motion Carried 6-0-0
(Eng. Piggush explained this is for a 80/20 grant for a bike/walking path from Hamilton Dr. past Casey’s)
Ms. Wiedl asked on the possibilities of this to be extended to the proposed Love’s Truck Stop, Mr. Piggush stated not on this grant, but a possibility in the future.
Finance, Dickson: no report, working on budget numbers
Sewer & Garbage, Morgan: no report
Building & Grounds, Morse: no report, reminder on Cabin Fever Reliever 2/22/20 4-11PM Ordinance & Insurance, Wiedl: looking to a date/place for an informational forum on the upcoming marijuana dispensary vote
*First reading held on Ordinance O-1-20-1 rezoning land located in the Village of Grant Park, Kankakee County, Illinois (607-609 S. Main St.)
