Kankakee School District 111 Board of Education met Jan. 22.

A quorum was declared present.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Jess Gathing

Communication and problem solving with KFT and Administration.

Discussion of Communication/Problem Solving Adequacy Document.

GOING FORWARD: SLT teams will put requests in writing, the response will come in writing also. 

GOING FORWARD: Google docs form put up so proposals can be seen and responded to.

Discussion of Cannibis: This is a drug-free work place. Working with Illinois Principal Association re: Cannibis use policy.

Clarification of Resignation policy recently passed by board: This was a symbolic move, for the most part, hope that it discourages people from leaving mid-contract.

Teacher retention is biggest factor in success of the district.

At 5:18 p.m., a motion was made by Bohlen, seconded by Archie, to adjourn the meeting. All ayes; motion carried.
