Kankakee County Sheriff issued the following announcement on May 18.
Sandbags are available for anyone in need. They are located on the south side of the Jerome Combs Detention Center (3000 South Justice Way, Kankakee, IL). The sandbags are ‘first come, first serve’ and anyone wishing to retrieve them must load them on their own.
