Five Kankakee County residents in their forties tested positive for COVID-19 on July 9, according to numbers being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In total, there have been 233 positive cases reported in Kankakee County among residents in their forties, accounting for 17.3 percent of all cases in the county. Through July 9, Kankakee County has reported a total of 1,344 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 65 of which have ended with the victim's death.
