Two Kankakee County residents in their fifties tested positive for COVID-19 on July 28, according to numbers being reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

In total, there have been 233 positive cases reported in Kankakee County among residents in their fifties, accounting for 14.3 percent of all cases in the county. Through July 28, Kankakee County has reported a total of 1,624 confirmed cases of the coronavirus, 66 of which have ended with the victim's death.
